Eating Out Gluten Free Barcelona

Gluten Free Pastisseria Jansana

This lovely little bakery is 100% gluten free! I tried the croissants (plain and chocolate!) and they were absolutely lovely, I ate the chocolate ones cold and heated the butter ones the next morning and they tasted great.  The bakery also sells fresh bread and variety of cakes..well worth a visit for a gluten free treat.

Messie Sin Gluten Pizza, Pasta and Salad

Wow! Only discovered this place on my last day and the Pizza was delicious!  Another 100% gluten free restaurant so no need to worry about cross contamination and they also offer lactose free cheese. My pizza was thin, crispy and full of flavour! Washed down nicely with a Sin Gluten San Miguel. There were about 20 gluten free beers to choose from. They also had a selection of cakes to choose from, i took a slice of the lemon cake home and it was very tasty! If you like pizza this place is a must.

Conesa Sandwich Shop

A great gluten free lunch on the go. Found this little gem when out and about on Barcelona's free walking tour in the Gothic Quarter (definitely worth doing to learn some history of the city) I have read online that there are two of the chain in Barcelona. The menu clearly states what sandwiches can be made gluten free and they are accredited by the Spanish Coeliac Association. I tried the Pollastre which was yummy! And even got to dip in Ailoli that was also gluten free.

Gula Sana Gluten Free Cafe

I've saved the best until last! A full 100%  Gluten free cafe, also serving lots of lactose free, sugar free and vegan foods! I went here for brunch and enjoyed a toasted ham and cheese baguette with freshly squeezed orange juice and a cappuccino! This place was so lovely and amazing to know that EVERYTHING is gluten free! The chocolate cake was out of this world! And very reasonably priced!
